Details The Saibreiras Animation Centre is a social and educative institution that develops a set of activities with the Ermesinde community. This communitarian centre has: free-time activities; social attendance; employment club; communitarian library; communitarian refectory; formation space; support to a youth association – Sójovem association, as principal communitarian work.
At the youth level, since 1995, this centre has done several exchanges, at national and international level, with different subjects in the bilateral, multilateral, or Euro-Med projects. This way we follow from that time until today; have the clear intention to develop in the young people important tools to answer to the occurring changes of the present society. A globalisation society, where the frontiers are diluted, we are approaching a multicultural society, where the stability of living together announce needs of co-operation, respect and solidarity relationships between people, between countries. That’s why, the importance of multicultural education to open minds…
It’s in this context we, Centro de Animação das Saibreiras, propose: Exchanges, an emancipation space, as a training course to approach and reflect upon an important European tool programme to a holistic youth development.
