The OECD LEED Trento Centre for Local Development is pleased to announce the International Conference on “The Social Economy in Central, East and South-East Europe: emerging trends of social innovation and local development”.

The conference will take place in Trento, Italy, on 22-23 September 2005.

The conference aims to increase understanding of the issues and policy options in terms of how best to stimulate social cohesion and labour market integration by leveraging social economy potential in Central East and South East Europe. The conference seeks to strengthen international co-operation, identify “best practices”, develop policy recommendations and agree on policy initiatives in support of the social economy.

Dear eventual partners,

our organization is looking for partners to realize an international
youth camp next summer, probably in July 2006. We are interested in
organizing a youth encounter with youngsters between 15 and 18 next
summer (beginning of July 2006) in Italy, but first we would like to
organize a feasibility visit next January; from the 13th to the 15th in
Milan.

DESCRIPTION: In the last few days, our country was very affected by huge inundations. Millions of people are isolated or have no place to live because their houses were destroyed by the freshets.

These rainy days affected Iara Village, a village from our county, Cluj. Here took place 12 earth flows. Because of the huge amount of water the earth flows have not stopped. All the bridges and footbridges were destroyed. 12 families are isolated and an important part of the country road was destroyed. There is no drinking water. The damages raise at 2 mil. Euro.
